Ranking of the Best Shooting Guards in NBA 2K21

We already saw the best point guards in NBA 2K21, but now it’s time to look at the shooting guards. But who truly is the best of the best? There are many talented shooting guards to choose from in NBA 2K21, but we can only rank eight of them on this list, including a few honorable mention candidates. Here’s the full list.

James Harden – 95

James Harden

James Harden‘s place as the best shooting guard (or best guard, period) in today’s NBA is too nailed for other players to pose a threat to him.

Harden averaged 24.8 points and 10.4 assists per game in his eight appearances with the Houston Rockets. For as long as Harden is in the backcourt, the Hoston Rockets will always remain a championship threat.

He led the NBA in scoring for the last three seasons, and Harden is now running away with the assists title at an average of 11.2 per game.

Moreover, he continues to be an efficient scorer and has 47/36/88 shooting splits in the current NBA season.

His insane skillset is represented well in NBA 2K21 ratings with 99 Offensive Consistency, 98 Driving Layups, 98 Shot IQ, 98 Draw Foul, 98 Pass IQ, 98 Shot IQ, and 97 Ball Handle. Of course, you can use him in MyTeam by using NBA 2K21 MT!

Bradley Beal – 91

Bradley Beal

Bradley Beal is one of the best shooting guards in the league.

Beal has been a superstar since last year. After averaging 30 points per game for the first time in the 2020-21 NBA season, Beal is currently averaging 33 points per game, which is the highest in the NBA.

Beal also matches his career-high in rebounds per game (five) and has 4.6 assists per night.

In the current season, Beal has the second-highest scoring game so far, with a career-high 60 points in a loss against the Philadelphia 76ers on January 6th.

He has represented well in NBA 2K21 ratings with 98 Shot IQ, 98 Offensive Consistency, 94 Driving Layup, 90 Draw Foul, and 88 Ball Handle.

Paul George – 91

Paul George

Although it might seem surprising considering his horrific season last year, Paul George is a top-3 shooting guard in the NBA.

George offers an important scoring presence for the team, but he’s certainly on a down year overall, missing some time with injuries.

This downtrend is a disappointment for fans after George’s huge year in OKC, but he is the kind of player that can heat up at any moment so that he could be a huge factor in the NBA Playoffs.

In the NBA 2K21 ratings, Paul George has 93 Driving Layup, 92 Perimeter Defense, 92 Lateral Quickness, 92 Help Defense IQ, and 90 Shot IQ.

Klay Thompson – 89

Klay Thompson

Klay Thompson‘s often discussed as one of the best shooters in the league, and his 89 overall is proof he earned that reputation.

Thompson sat out all of 2019/20 due to injury but has averaged over three triples per game for five straight seasons, dating back to 2014/15. He also has an elite career average of 41.9 percent from beyond the arc and is one of the most reliable three-point shooters in NBA 2K21.

In NBA 2K21, Klay Thompson returns with 95 Three-Point Shot, 95 Defensive Consistency, 93 Shot IQ, 93 Perimeter Defense, and 90 Offensive Consistency. He is the best three-point shooter at the shooting guard position. He also has the skill to guard multiple positions, making Golden State one of the most versatile defensive teams in the game.

Jaylen Brown – 89

Jaylen Brown

Jaylen Brown plays at the Shooting Guard or Small Forward position for the Boston Celtics.

Jaylen Brown has gone from being somewhat of a fringe player in the last two or three campaigns to being a mainstay in Brad Stevens starting five, averaging over 20 points (20.3 PPG) for the first time in his career.

Brown is averaging a career-high 26 points per game in the current campaign, and he has been efficient on the offensive end. He is shooting career-highs from the field (52%), from the three-point line (42%), and the free-throw line (76%). He also posts his career-highs in assists per game (5.5) and steals per game (1.3).

CJ McCollum – 88

Portland Trail Blazers shooting guard C.J. McCollum is one of the best scorers in the league.

McCollum is one of the few players who can create excellent looks for himself, and he does it in various ways. He drains shots from outside, attacks the rim with confidence, and has a perfect mid-range game.

McCollum tallied 30 or more points 14 times during 2016-17, hitting the 40 point mark twice. He then opened the playoffs with a 41-point outburst on 16-of-28 shooting from the floor against the Warriors. He also had a 32-point showing in Game Three of the series.

McCollum set a career-high with 23.0 points per game for the season –1.23 points per shot — on a personal-best 48.0% shooting from the field. He also pulled in a career-best 3.5 boards a game.

McCollum has become more efficient in each of his four seasons.

Donovan Mitchell – 87

Donovan Mitchell

Without a doubt, Donovan Mitchell is one of the best shooting guards in the NBA right now.

Mitchell plays hard every night, has incredible athleticism, and is a clutch player by nature.

He had a rough shooting start to the 2020-21 NBA season, but the guard has turned things around and is the first option for the Utah Jazz. Mitchell is averaging 23.3 points, four rebounds, and five assists per game with 44/42/83 shooting splits.

Donovan Mitchell’s Utah Jazz are on fire right now and hold the best record in the entire NBA. Though the team has been able to win games with him off the floor, Mitchell is the best player on the roster and the leader on offense.

Devin Booker – 87

Devin Booker

Devin Booker is a phenomenal talent at the shooting guard position. The Phoenix Suns star is easily one of the league’s most talented scorers.

Booker can create his own offense better than almost every other player in the league right now, and the addition of Chris Paul to the roster will make Booker a better player. Booker was already good enough to be an All-Star last year, but this year he will solidify his stance as one of the top-2 shooting guards in the world.

Booker will most likely see jumps in his playmaking ability as he sees more double teams. Booker is deadly from deep, can attack the rim, and gets his shots off mid-range. Booker will strive to be a superstar player as an overall offensive package as he learns how to win from Chris Paul.

The above is my list of top 8 shooting guards in the NBA 2K21. Do you want to know about the best players at other positions? Stay tuned!
